In 2012–2013, the Department of Justice (DOJ) updated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II and Title III guidelines, mandating that commercial pool lifts must be "fixed" to the pool deck whenever the facility is open for operational use. This requirement affected portable or non-keyed legacy lifts manufactured prior to 2013 (including early Motion Trek, Traveler, and Horizon models).

The assembly enables aquatic facilities to mechanically secure their pre-2013 lifts directly to the concrete deck without replacing the entire pool lift chassis:
