This assembly consists of a series of precision-pleated cartridges manufactured from a high-density, non-woven polyester media that is engineered to be coated with Diatomaceous Earth powder. Its primary mechanical function is to capture microscopic impurities and suspended solids as water is forced through the pleats, providing superior water clarity compared to standard cartridge systems. The pleated design significantly increases the available surface area within a compact footprint, allowing for longer cycles between cleanings and reducing the backpressure on the pool pump.
