HCF234C LATERAL KIT

The Hayward HCF234C Lateral Kit is a replacement internal part set for the 34″, 2‑inch‑port version of its commercial fiberglass sand filter line (HCF234C). It includes the full set of slotted laterals that sit at the bottom of the filter tank and are responsible for collecting filtered water after it has passed through the sand media. These laterals route the cleaned water into the standpipe and out of the filter, while preventing sand from escaping back into the pool system. Because they are molded from corrosion‑ and chemical‑resistant polymer (PVC/ABS or similar), they’re designed to withstand the harsh conditions of pool/spa environments — including exposure to water, chlorine (or other sanitizers), and normal operating pressure. Installing a fresh lateral kit restores proper internal water flow and collection, helps prevent sand bypass (which would dirty the pool), and ensures the filtration efficiency and longevity of the filter system.
