The Spectrum Aquatics Horizon BP 350 Long Reach (Part #153160 / #153160-00) is a commercial-grade, ADA-compliant battery-powered pool lift engineered specifically for facilities featuring wide perimeter gutters, parapet walls, or broad rim-flow designs that standard-reach pool lifts cannot clear.
Positioned alongside the Motion Trek and Traveler families, the Horizon line utilizes a fixed, high-profile vertical mast and extended boom geometry optimized for stationary, bolt-down, or deep-socket commercial installations.
Key Technical Specifications
-
Lifting Capacity: 350 lbs (158.8 kg) dynamic operating load rating.
-
Extended Setback & Reach: Accommodates deck-to-water clearances from 18" up to 44", allowing the boom to easily clear wide coping stones, recessed perimeter deck grates, and raised curb/parapet walls up to 12" to 14" in height.
-
Submerged Draft Depth: Lowers the seat up to 18" below deck water level, exceeding the ADA Title III minimum requirement of 16" below the stationary water surface for unassisted water transfers.
-
Power Architecture: 24V DC battery-operated drive system delivering 90+ continuous cycles on a full charge; comes with an off-deck wall-mount charging cradle (Part #153605) and AC/DC power supply.
-
Motion & Articulation: Fully powered vertical linear actuator drive paired with continuous 360° powered horizontal rotation.
-
Operator Controls: Equipped with a submersible, waterproof 4-button handheld pendant wand on a heavy-duty coiled cord (or dual watertight remotes depending on the production generation), operable with one hand and requiring under 5 lbs of button activation force.
-
Structural Metallurgy: Passivated 304L stainless steel coated with proprietary Spectra Shield® for corrosion resistance (available with 316L stainless steel fabrication for indoor natatoriums or saltwater pools).
-
Ergonomics & Safety: Integrated flip-up armrests, padded headrest, flip-up/swing-away footrest, and an adjustable ADA-compliant seat safety belt.
Anchor & Mounting Infrastructure
-
Deck Anchor Socket: Designed to install into a standard 2.375" (2-3/8" OD) commercial anchor socket (6" embedment depth) fitted with a dedicated copper equipotential bonding lug (Part #28520-00 / #75521 series).
-
Retrofit Compatibility: Can interface with legacy 1.90" sockets utilizing the Spectrum Anchor Adapter (1.9" ID to 2.375" OD, Part #28550-00), provided deck setbacks and wall clearances are recalculated for the elevated sleeve profile.
-
Surface Mount Option: Compatible with Spectrum’s heavy-duty stainless surface mount baseplate assemblies for post-tensioned slabs or decks where core-drilling is restricted.
Dedicated Accessories & Cross-Compatibility
-
Protective Cover: Heavy-duty, fitted marine-grade vinyl weather cover tailored for extended boom dimensions (Part #47950 / #54378 series).
-
Power & Charging: Uses the standard Linak 24V DC battery pack (Part #153607), off-deck wall charger cradle (Part #153605), and AC power adapter (Part #153606).
-
Emergency Extrication: Compatible with the Spectrum Spineboard Attachment Kit for emergency backboard rescue protocols.
-
Maintenance: Maintained using the Spectra Clean™ System 1 and Spectra Shield® stainless steel passivation kits.
