The Jandy Levolor Dual-Style Sensor with 50-Foot Cable (Model S-2046A / Part # R0658300) is a multi-configuration water level detection probe designed for swimming pools, spas, fountains, and water basins. Unlike dedicated single-purpose probes, the "dual-style" design includes versatile mounting adapters allowing it to be installed either directly inside a pool skimmer throat or suspended vertically within an external PVC static standpipe.
Operating via solid-state electrical continuity, the probe uses stainless steel contacts with no moving floats or mechanical parts to bind or scale over. When water drops below the contact pins, the circuit opens, prompting the Levolor control box (such as the K-1100 series) to start water replenishment after its wave-damping delay period.

Installation Options
-
Skimmer Throat Install: Secure the probe using the included bracket and adhesive/hardware kit against the clean interior wall of the skimmer throat below the weir gate. Position the contact tips at the desired waterline (typically halfway up the skimmer mouth) and route the 50' shielded cable through the auxiliary/deck port into low-voltage conduit.
-
Standpipe (Static Pipe) Install: Thread the sensor into the provided compression collar assembly atop a dedicated 1" or 2" vertical PVC static pipe plumbed below the pool waterline. Slide the probe up or down to set the low-water trip depth, hand-tighten the collar, and run the cable through conduit to the control panel.
