The Jandy Levolor Slip-Style 3-Contact 18" Sensor with 300-Foot Cable (Model S3040E18 / Part # R0658406) is an ultra-long-distance, multi-threshold electronic water level sensing probe assembly engineered for standpipe (static well) installations. It is built for expansive commercial aquatic facilities, estate pools, and resort vanishing-edge catch basins where the equipment pad is located up to 300 feet from the water vessel.

Unlike standard 2-contact fill probes, this sensor uses three staggered solid-state stainless steel contacts along an 18-inch rigid PVC body to monitor two separate water thresholds simultaneously. It pairs with dual-action Jandy Levolor controllers, such as the K-2000 (normal fill + high-water overflow protection) or the K-2100 (normal fill + low-water pump cutoff protection).

Standpipe Installation Summary

  1. Static Pipe Setup: Plumb a vertical PVC pipe (1" or 2") tied into the pool equalizer line or low-point plumbing below the operating waterline to create an undisturbed, wave-damped water column.

  2. Mount Slip Collar: Solvent-weld the compression housing adapter fitting onto the top rim of the standpipe.

  3. Calibrate Sensing Depth: Slide the 18-inch probe down into the tube so the lowest contact sits at the reference level, the middle pin aligns with your normal fill trip line, and the upper/lower contact marks the safety alarm threshold. Hand-tighten the compression nut to secure its vertical depth.

  4. Pull Leads to Controller: Run the 300-foot shielded cable through dedicated electrical conduit back to the equipment pad and connect the three conductors to the designated sensor terminals on the Levolor PCB.
