MEDIA DRAIN CAP AND O-R KIT

The Hayward Drain Cap Kit (often referred to as a “Media Drain Cap and O‑Ring Kit” when used for filter drain ports) is a replacement kit that provides a sealed closure for the drain or media‑port opening on a pool or spa filter tank. The cap screws into the drain port, and the included O‑ring (or gasket) compresses to form a watertight seal — preventing leaks during normal operation. When you need to drain water (for cleaning, media change, or winterizing), you simply remove the cap and let the water out; when reinstalled, the O‑ring ensures that the port remains fully sealed under pressure.
