The Nordesco 8-Foot Wall-Mount Bench (Sand) is the maximum standard continuous-run cantilevered commercial bench in the Sand-finish architectural wall series. Engineered for high-capacity aquatic venues—such as varsity locker rooms, municipal natatorium perimeters, and aquatic therapy transit corridors where earth-tone aesthetics are specified—it delivers an extended 96-inch seating platform while keeping the deck 100% free of floor pedestals.

Functional Overview & Materials

Designed for heavy multi-occupant commercial loading and continuous exposure to harsh pool chemistry:

• Polypropylene Slat Platform (Sand): Fabricated from heavy-duty, UV-stabilized virgin thermoplastic slats in a durable "Sand" (tan/beige) finish. The chemically inert, non-porous structure does not absorb moisture, sweat, body oils, or chloramines, completely eliminating chipping, rotting, splintering, and fungal growth.

• Rapid Drainage & Airflow: Longitudinal drainage slots direct shower spray, pool splash-out, and washdown water straight through to floor drainage channels, preventing surface puddle formation, accelerating evaporation, and preserving wet-traction safety for barefoot patrons.

• Multi-Point Cantilever Substructure: Supported by five to six heavy-gauge, electropolished 304 or 316 stainless steel triangular cantilever brackets. This multi-bracket layout eliminates midpoint deflection across the 96-inch span and safely distributes dynamic live loads into the building substrate.

• Unobstructed Deck Maintenance: The wall-hung cantilever profile leaves the floor completely open, enabling automated scrubbers, wide floor squeegees, and pressure washers to clean wall-to-wall without catching on furniture legs or creating bacteria traps.
