The Nordesco Wide Plastic Bench 8ft - Grey is the maximum standard single-span freestanding commercial bench in the wide-profile series. Engineered for high-density aquatic venues—such as Olympic training facilities, varsity locker rooms, large municipal natatoriums, and open pool deck staging concourses—it combines an extended 96-inch span with an expanded seat depth to maximize multi-person capacity and load distribution.

• Heavy-Duty Polypropylene Slat Platform: Constructed from commercial-grade, UV-stabilized virgin thermoplastic slats in neutral grey. Non-porous and chemically inert, the material withstands constant chloramine vapor, chlorinated water splash-out, body oils, and concentrated sanitizers without cracking, delaminating, rotting, or harboring mold.

• Deep Seating Geometry: Features an expanded 18-to-20-inch depth profile (compared to conventional 12-to-14-inch narrow benches), offering a stable, comfortable base for swimmers with equipment bags, parent-child staging, or physical therapy transfers.

• Continuous Drainage & Airflow: Longitudinal drainage slots direct pool runoff and washdown water straight through to the deck drainage system, eliminating standing surface puddles, speeding evaporation, and preserving wet-traction slip resistance.

• Multi-Pedestal Understructure: Supported by four to five heavy-duty upright pedestal frames fabricated from reinforced structural polymer or passivated stainless steel. This dense post spacing prevents long-span midpoint deflection under dynamic live-load shifts across the 96-inch run.
