O RING 80MM BU EDPM

The Hayward O-Ring 80 MM BU EPDM is a circular elastomer seal used in pool and spa equipment to create a tight, leak-proof junction between parts (for example between lids and housings, filter heads and bodies, or other join points). As with all O-rings, it works by compressing in a groove when the two pieces are assembled — that compression creates a seal that prevents water (or air) from leaking, which is critical to maintain proper pressure, flow, and prevent damage. 

The “EPDM” designation refers to its material: synthetic rubber (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer), which is especially well-suited for aquatic, pool, spa, and outdoor applications because it resists water, many pool chemicals, UV, ozone, and wide temperature variations. 

Because of its durability and chemical resistance, this O-ring helps extend the lifespan of the sealing surfaces — reducing leaks, maintaining proper pressure, and protecting internal pump/filter components.
