The Pool Link Legacy Probe Chamber w/ Rotary Flow Switch (machined acrylic bypass flow cell manifold) is an equipment-room flow cell assembly engineered for legacy Pool Link commercial water chemistry controllers and standard multi-parameter monitoring systems. Plumbed into an auxiliary bypass loop across the primary pool filtration system, it isolates sensitive electrochemical and analytical probes from line turbulence while ensuring steady, laminar water contact and providing automated safety interlocks to prevent chemical overfeeding during circulation loss.
System Overview & Hardware Architecture
Designed for demanding commercial natatorium, resort spa, and municipal aquatic mechanical rooms:
-
Clear Machined Acrylic Solid-Block Body: Precision-machined from a monolithic block of transparent, chemical-resistant acrylic. The clear design enables instantaneous visual inspection of sample clarity, bubble entrapment, and probe tip fouling without requiring cell disassembly.
-
Integrated Rotary Paddle Flow Indicator: A mechanical spinning rotor or paddle wheel located in the sample stream chamber provides immediate, at-a-glance visual confirmation of water movement through the bypass assembly.
-
Integrated Magnetic Reed Flow Switch: A magnetic rotor/reed safety interlock that completes a low-voltage circuit only when adequate flow velocity is achieved. If circulation halts, the contact opens, signaling the controller to instantly deactivate chemical dosing pumps and solenoids to prevent hazardous chlorine gas generation.
-
Flow Control Metering Needle Valve: Fine-threaded, chemical-resistant needle valve integrated on the inlet side to throttle high-pressure supply lines and establish a steady, non-turbulent flow velocity across probe sensing tips.
-
Sample Draw-Off Petcock / Spigot: Integrated low-pressure sampling valve enabling operators to draw representative pool water directly at the probe tips for manual photometer, DPD, or titrimetric calibration testing.
Technical Specifications
