The Pentair Collection Manifold Assembly (primarily part number 24800-0100 for the System 3 series or 24760-0257 for legacy SwimQuip/DEP series) is a critical internal fluid-management plumbing component engineered exclusively for high-capacity pool and spa Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) and modular cartridge filtration networks. This specialized manifold is standard structural hardware tailored specifically for the internal element assemblies of the Pentair Sta-Rite System 3 S7D75 and S8D110 series, alongside compatible high-rate modular D.E. vessels.
Injection-molded from a heavy-walled, high-impact, and chemically inert engineering polymer composite, this central plumbing grid acts as the primary collection interface at the pressure boundary of the internal core. Its primary operational role is to simultaneously align, stabilize, and interlock multiple vertical modular filter elements into a perfectly rigid configuration. By holding the elements securely in position, it prevents the filtration grid nest from tilting, twisting, or collapsing inward under the immense crushing forces generated by high-volume pump circulation. During active filtration cycles, clean, purified water that has passed through the media bed is routed straight into the multiple intake ports of the collection manifold, which consolidates the individual fluid streams and cleanly directs the water toward the central vertical standpipe or lower tank bulkhead. This highly organized hydraulic path maximizes flow efficiency while minimizing system back-pressure, allowing the internal plumbing infrastructure to easily handle high-velocity circulation and safely sustain continuous system operating pressures up to 50 PSI without weeping, leaking at the joints, or stress-cracking under sudden pump startup surges.
Built to remain permanently submerged in a highly dynamic, chemical-laden environment, its rugged composite matrix completely resists material softening, structural warping, and advanced corrosion from prolonged exposure to high-strength pool sanitizers like chlorine, bromine, and salt-chlorine generator outputs, as well as routine maintenance scale-remover acid flushes. Due to its solid plastic multi-port architecture and thick-walled socket reinforcements required to span a wide-diameter element cluster, this individual replacement collection manifold assembly carries a net product and shipping weight of approximately 1.70 to 1.75 pounds (about 27.2 to 28.0 ounces).
