This component replaces the filter's original legacy intake baffle assembly on the lower plumbing inlet side. Injection-molded from a dense, chemically inert black thermoplastic composite, the diverter's primary fluid-dynamics purpose is to intercept and forcibly redirect incoming, high-velocity pool water straight downward toward the absolute bottom basin of the filter tank.

By pushing the incoming water to the lowest point of the vessel, it prevents the water from carving uneven structural pathways directly into the filtration media. This downward orientation yields several system benefits:
