Pentair Tank Lid

The term Pentair Tank Lid refers to the heavy-duty upper pressure domes or replacement top tank shells engineered for Pentair’s flagship lines of pool and spa filters, including the Clean & Clear Plus cartridge, FNS Plus vertical D.E., and Sta-Rite System 2 or System 3 series. Molded from rugged, UV-stabilized, fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene or dense composite resins, these lids are built to safely withstand continuous internal hydraulic pressures up to 50 PSI. The apex of the dome typically features a molded, threaded port to accept a manual high-flow air relief valve and diagnostic pressure gauge, while the wide bottom rim is designed to seat against a main tank O-ring, secured tightly to the lower tank half by either a metal clamp band assembly, dual quick-clip locks, or a composite Posi-Lok™ collar. Depending on whether you are replacing a smaller vertical sand filter closure cap or a massive, broad-dome upper shell for a multi-element filtration system, the actual product weight can vary dramatically from 2.0 to 28.0 pounds, resulting in highly variable shipping weights due to the large, oversized protective boxes required to prevent the composite sealing lips from warping or fracturing during transit.
