SR Smith Mobile Aquatic Chair

The S.R. Smith Mobile Aquatic Chair (MAC) (Part #AXS-MAC / #200-8000 series) is a non-motorized, submersible aquatic transport chair designed to safely move individuals from locker rooms, across pool decks, and directly into the water via zero-depth entries, ramps, or movable pool floors.

Functional Overview

Engineered specifically for aquatic environments, the MAC eliminates the need to expose personal wheelchairs to corrosive pool chemicals. The frame is constructed from powder-coated, 316-grade stainless steel paired with durable, non-corroding thermoplastic and mesh components that can be completely submerged in chlorinated, brominated, or saltwater pools without deteriorating.

The chair features rear-mounted mag-style drive wheels and front-locking swivel casters with non-marking rubber tires suitable for wet pool deck traction. It comes equipped with swing-away armrests and removable footrests to enable easy lateral wheelchair-to-chair transfers. An integrated user seat belt provides additional security during transport and water entry.
